Clifford Gombos: As the other poster said, the acting (or drama - same thing) major is designed to prepare you to work as a professional actor. But if you go to a good, solid university with a good acting program in it, you can do almost anything after that. You could:- work as a professional actor- get your MFA and teach at a university- get work in technical theater (if you've done backstage related classes and work)- get work as a stage manager (again, if you've done related work)- direct shows or film or tv (again, with related work and classes)- work in the offices of a theater- work as a production assistant or another "backstage" type role in film or tv- write plays or tv- get your masters degree in another field, and go into that field- graduate and get a job in business, if you've done a business-related internship- work in arts managementI have friends who studied acting who a! re famous actors. I have friends who aren't famous, but work all the time. I have other friends who worked as actors for a while, then got their masters in another subject and totally changed fields. Still others who work backstage now, or "backstage" in film or tv. Some who write sitcoms. Some who write films. The best acting schools out there are NYU and Juilliard, but there are other good schools as well. But if you go to a pure arts/acting school, like Juilliard, it'll be harder to transition into something outside of acting, such as business, than it would be if you went to NYU, which is a broad uni with a fabulous acting school. ...Show more

Tillie Wynott: Drama is the same thing as acting, lol. There usually the same thing. The jobs you can get is basically an actor and that's it. There traing you to become an actor not anything else. You can be an actor teacher like at an actor studio, an talent agent, a high school drama teacher, but you would need some educa! tion classes or a minor in education. You can also maybe work ! at a community theater. Top Acting schools would be the following: NYU, USC, and UCLA. These help people who want to go into screen acting. I am an actor, just to let you know. Acting is a harsh world, so many actors end up as a waiter or waitress at a local dinner. That is why it may be a good idea to be a acting teacher. Good Luck!...Show more

I minored in Psychology--to help me determine people out it replaced into an person-friendly minor to get. remember repute isn't all that--and the applause is astonishing...yet deep down it extremely is what you're making it out to be. do not enable absolutely everyone else define your fulfillment--it extremely is unquiely yours.
