Melina Minneweather: Philosophy is very general term, actually. Use it in everyday conversation and someone is bound to ask what you mean particularly.I sum it as basically just thinking. Philosophy as a scholarly endeavor is really just that. From there it branches into several sub-categories. Thinking about knowledge and how that is obtained is epistemology. Marcelina Schossow: Epistemology is a branch of Philosophy that deals specifically with how we know things. I took a course in it in Seminary as one of the Philosophy requirements. Philosophy is much broader - reality, what there is to know, how we do it, influences, and, and, and.... Epistemology is only one tiny part of that.
