Aubrey Tirri: What happened with the yarn? Knitting or crochet is what I would suggest because they don't take up much space and you can do it even if you're tired..
Sena Highman: Try crocheting. You will find some very helpful crochet tutorials at http://www.youtube.com/tjw1963
An Cardine: Why not try to get 'ahead of the curve' of your children growing up and find a branch of children's literature that they might like? And, more espeicially for now, that you like?Because your children are young, such books are short. One example is my obsession: Thomas the Tank Engine. (Nice segue, eh?)Thomas stories were written starting sixty years ago in England by Reverend W. Awdry for his (then-ill) son, Christopher. I wrote in the description of my Yahoo! Group Great_1, that: "Thomas the Tank Engine inhabits a universe where the landscape is beautiful, every day brings a new adventure, and there are more friends 'than you could shake a siderod at'. His boss is 't! he Fat Controller' ['Sir Topham Hatt' in the USA], ready to offer praise for keeping 'confusion and delay' at bay, and quick to forgive honest mistakes." But are things all idyllic there? In no way. Careless mistakes can physically hurt, and will cause embarrassment. Your friends and co-workers will sometimes tease you for mistakes you made. They can be insufferably boastful and full of unearned pride. But if they are not particularly mean, you can still be friends. For good reasons, sometimes you are ordered to do things you don't want to -- but you do them because you love to be called "truly useful". In short, it is a lot like human's adult life, only in primary colors.Thomas can be found in books, on cable TV such as Public Broadcasting's "Sprout" network (and broadcast in some PBS markets), and videos. Thomas can appeal to girls. As time went on, the 'girls' got better and better roles. Search for "Thomas the Tank" at wikipedia and you'll find articles on the! characters. And on books, videos, and toys -- those articles! ' veracity watched over by the young adults of the Sodor Island Forums. Plus trains are neat! They gave me a reason to be interested in math (geometry), in electronics, and in history. Can you tell that I'm obsessed?Mike (turning 50 years old next month)...Show more

August Hubbard: I actually found the same problem, although I am disabled, I needed a hobby. And through Paint Shop Pro, I found one. With this computer program, I have been able to take my imagination farther than I ever imagined. I also tried crocheting, and sewing, reading, and many many other types of hobbies that others had tried. Nothing really suited me until now. There is a reason that Paint Shop Pro is good for scrap-booking. You don't have all the tape, scissors, punches! , papers, and pictures. Everything is available right on your computer, and it stretches your imagination, without all the mess. Just an idea....Show more
