does beer really cause a beer belly?

Leif Serabia: Just wondered as I have no idea what the ingredients are.

Alonso Crehan: Yes I definitely have a beer belly from beer cause I don't eat that much so it has to be the beer

Margy Sandquist: I took a urine test today at around 9am. I drank alcohol the day before around 9pm. Will alcohol show in my urine test? Are there different kinds of urine tests? Do all urine tests detect alcohol?

Freeman Rutkin: Say goodbye to alchol in general. Try dancing when you feel the urge to drink.

Matt Tiry: Yes

Ollie Hamiel: the main cause of a beer belly is a swollen abdomen from an enlarged liver not the calories, so u should be ok at one or two a day

Loriann Carrigan: Your urine can be used to detect alcohol and many different types of drugs, however, the clinic will only test for what is asked. If whoever asked for the test wants them to test for alcohol, they will, however, only the clinic and the person asking for the test know what the! y're testing for...you could have asked the clinic what all they're testing for, but sounds like it's too late for that.

Nadia Crauswell: beer only causes a beer belly if you drink to excess. the reason people have beer bellys is because when you first start drinking it only takes one or two to get a buzz but as time passes it gets to whrere it takes more and more to get a buzz, the first thing you know it takes a half case to get you the same buzz as you were getting off two or three beers and the first thing you know you have strectched your belly to where it looks like you have swallowed a watermelon.

Denna Prudente: yes

Rachal Osaki: Alcohol in general has a lot of sugar, which is a carb and carbs are what turn into fat. The common misperception is that fat turns into fat, but it is excess carb calories which are not burned that turn into fat. Alcohol is a huge contributor to weight gain, because of the calories, and the carbs. To truly lose weight,! stop drinking altogether. I lost over 10 pounds buy just sto! pping drinking alcohol. If you would like to continue, you will need to exercise to burn off the extra calories from the alcohol you consume. I would say the the beer would be worse, but it depends on which product has more sugar and carbs. P.S. Snacking is fine and should be done, just with the correct foods! I have 3 snacks a day, and I usually eat things like almonds, cheese, veggies...and it helps keep your metabolism steady, rather than peaking and then dropping. If you snack on healthy things, you are less likely to get the cravings for junk food. Good luck!...Show more

Jene Kostyla: Overconsumption of anything coupled with inactivity causes weight gain

Buster Buchko: If you only drink a couple beers, should not be a problem. Stay away from the high carb. sweet snacks. Also if you are used to drinking beer, may not be a good idea to switch to liquor. Moderation is the key.

Matt Gerdeman: yes if you are not a frequent exerciser. The beer will d! efinetely give you a large belly. After each beer have a glass of water right behind it

Sheron Perrez: yes if you drink a lot of it, beer has a lot of carbs which will turn into fat when you are eating carbs and drinking lots of them too

Shamika Schools: why not drink water beer has alot of acohol in it and ui don't think that is good if you are going on a diet. you can have a beer every now and then but not like every night. Drink a lite hot cocoa.

Randa Hessell: no. Hawaiian punch is a childrens drink, its juice.

Bethanie Menden: Both the soda and the beer are bad. They both have so many artificial things in them that is bad for your body even if you're not fat.

Karey Dunken: Yuck, that mango is so nasty, tastes like perfume!Probably fruit juice and lots of it to mask the flavor

Marco Stolarz: well I've never drank a kids juice that felt warm going down and was a bit strong. I think there was at least ginger in the drink and to comment ! on one answer I got isn't $5 kinda steep if it was just a kids juice at! Jack Asters.

Joaquin Dronko: yes too much calories.

Ervin Overbee: Got a lot of liqour left over from parties, and now I'm going to spoil myself... Like jagerbombs and cherrybombs... What would be a good mix to shoot Parrot Bay Mango with?

Anton Waln: Yes it can if u are planning to drink very single day even though moderated.- Beer packs up carbs..and if u do not hit a gym...or some other form of active exercise.....then it will go straight to your tummy...and everywhere....a beer every now and then is nothing to be hillarious about ...but every single day....too much...why not try to chill on other ...tropical and fruity drinks...to quench that thirst????...I will give u a fat burning ....shake...orange juicepinneapple juicecelery stickscrushed iceu can measure 4oz of each juice...1 whole celery stick...and shake it up with some ice...there u go u get a nutritional shake....that is also proven to BURN fat and to give u a Filled up feeling ..so u stop ge! tting the junkies food..craving....good luck!...Show more

Dexter Gold: Beer only causes a beer belly because your not burning the energy the beer gives you. Damn, go run around and so the public drunkness is a healthy thing. I would say the soda is much worse though, all that nasty sugar and acids. An all beer diet is much better then an all soda diet. If you drink bud light(which I can't, yuck whats the point) then its even more healthy for you. All in all though you can eat mcdonalds for a month and be in perfect health if you actually exercise(for that one you would need much more then just regular exercise)....Show more

Alonso Crehan: it sure does. What most people don't realize is that the label of the beer shows the calories from the carbohydrates in the beer. In addition to those calories are extra calories from the alcohol. Alcohol is readily turned into simple sugar when it is consumed. All of these calories are stored as fat when they are not immed! iately used. One beer a day won't cause you to have a beer belly if yo! u are having a normally healthy diet in addition. It all comes down to using the same amount of calories you eat so you don't add fat....Show more

Hyo Hardell: Noone has ever gotten a "beer belly" off of one or two beers a night. It takes WAAAY more than that.
