Robin Weelborg: Depends on what those grants were for. Most colleges have some sort of need-based financial aid, which is independent of academic performance, and the government gives out Federal Pell Grants and other types of grants and loans too. The Perkins Loan, Stafford Loan, and PLUS Loan are based on your economic situation, so you should still be eligible for those. Check with the financial aid department of the schools your thinking about going to, and go to fafsa.gov to learn more about government aid....Show more
Jonie Lauria: You need to pass at least 6 credits on the quarter system and 4 credits on the semester system to eligible for federal financial aid for the next quarter/semester. If you passed the minimum credits, you will just be on probation. However, if you didn't, then your eligibility will be suspended until you pass the required credits the next term. If you are not sure how many credits you passed, just call your financial aid office at ! the school you attended and they will easily be able to tell you what your status is. Hope this helps!...Show more
