Donella Vasta: Go to a place like sears and get a fuel system cleaner, a transmission flush, air filter, cabin air filter... infact I know sears has packages that includes everything for one price and you end up saving a little money if you do it all at once...
Corrinne Ruozzo: Everybody likes to change spark plugs. The dump is full of perfectly good spark plugs. If you want to you can take them out and check the gap. I only change them at around 25,000 miles and even then they are still good.Injectors: every week or so you can put a few cans of injector cleaner in a gas fill up.Ckeck the belt or belts on the engine for glazing and cracking. If they look so so then change them---you dont wat to get stuck on the road.Clean the battery cables and terminals.Oil the door hingesMake sure all your lights are working.I forget what seafoam is because theres a thing with the same name for boats and it has nothing to do with engines.Stay away from Sears or anybody else. They! cost a fortune,,,may even screw somthing up ,,and if your car runs good then lets keep it that way. BS to trans flush--they ruin half of them after they are done and then they blame you....Show more
Chauncey Williama: You are on a start by getting your oil changed. It is not when you put the spark plugs installed, but how many miles you drive on them. I change my spark plugs every 50,000 miles and have had no problem in that area. Every 3rd fill up, I put injector cleaner in the gas tank and have had no problem there. Transmission fluid does not have to be changed every year, but a rule of thumb is 5 yrs. Differential fluid does not have to be changed, but check for the proper level. Air filter is changed when it is dirty, not by mileage, and you should be able to see light through the filter. If not, change it. Fuel filter should be changed 3-5yrs, depending upon how much you drive. Drain the coolant from the radiator and refresh once a year. Clean the fin! s on the radiator. And keep your vehicle clean, as this will ! help with your gas mileage - believe it or not. Have never used sea foam....Show more
